Thank you for your interest in volunteering at The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts.

As a non-profit organization, we will rely on volunteers for many important positions at the theatre. It is our pleasure to invite you to apply for the following volunteer positions:
  • Usher, Ticket Taker, Coat Check
  • Gardening / Plaza Maintenance
  • Greeting & Hospitality
  • Administrative Work
  • Tour Guide
  • Box Office
The Hanover Theatre will host over 170,000 patrons every year and we would love to have you on board as a part of our team! Please download the Volunteer Application located on this page and submit your application to The Hanover Theatre, c/o Meghan Patrick, 554 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01608. Applications are collected on an ongoing basis, but training is held at scheduled times throughout the year.

On this page, you will also find a brief description of volunteer positions available at the theatre and their essential functions and requirements. Please review the positions before filling out your application.

Those applicants chosen to volunteer at the theatre will be rewarded first and foremost with our gratitude for their time and talents. Volunteers are vital to the success of the theatre and we know this will be a rewarding experience for all!

Summer Youth Program 2010

Summer Youth Program 2010

We are pleased to announce our second Youth Summer Program designed for students ages 12 through 18. Classes focusing on music, drama, and dance as well as rehearsals for the final production will be held daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Students will present two performances of the hit musical “Once on This Island” on Saturday, July 17. Teachers and directors for the session include the following well-known instructors: Jennifer Agbay, dance, Kallin Johnson, music, and Meghan Patrick, drama. Workshops will also be held with professionals in the fields of lighting and sound design! (Please note, there will be no session on Monday, July 5th)
