Owner Mike Mohamed opened the first Il Forno in Fitchburg in 1992 with the goal of bringing the food he loves to the community. He personally created a menu that suits a high variety of tastes and budgets, making quality Italian food attainable without the necessity of spending a fortune. After
8 years of success, he branched out to locations in Acton, Westboro, and most recently, Worcester.

Il Forno's BYOB policy makes dining out even more affordable: customers can have wine or spirits delivered to their table from KJ Baaron’s, at no delivery charge.

Not only do the staff at Il Forno work to give customers a welcoming, spectacular dining experience, but the restaurant regularly gives back to its community as a gesture of appreciation. Every year, Il Forno in Fitchburg opens its doors for a full day to the community, feeding the homeless, and providing buses to pick people up from housing projects and
shelters.
