Make a Difference
The opening of The Hanover Theatre in 2008 was the culmination of an ambitious vision for the performing arts in Worcester and the committed support of the entire community. That legacy of community support continues today through the generosity of our donors.
Tickets sales and subscriptions are tremendously important to us, however much of that revenue goes to support the thousands of performers, technical artists, and theatre professionals who work across our stages every year while only a small portion comes back to support our operations, engagement programs, and community activities. We rely on our donors to help us maintain our historic theatre, make performances accessible to children and families, provide need-based conservatory scholarships, underwrite our school partnerships, and ensure that The Hanover Theatre remains a vibrant and welcoming destination for the entire community.
Giving Opportunities
Your support has a direct impact and we offer giving opportunities that will enhance your experience at the theatre or enable you to support the programs that are most important to you.
“The story of The Hanover is the story of Worcester. The theatre has not only become a great cultural magnet drawing people from all over central Massachusetts, but also a catalyst for a whole lot of conversations about what’s possible in this city and its downtown.”
— Former Mayor Joseph C. O’Brien
