Greetings,

This last week has been a whirlwind of events and activity. With the upbeat, fun and high-quality production of Dirty Dancing came eight opportunities for people to come together to laugh, cry, and share in a combined experience of joy right here at one of the top theatres in the world. It was truly magical, and each audience seemed happier than the last. Having seen the show on Broadway, I bet that next year’s Cinderella audiences will have a similar experience!

As we all know, not everything was sunshine and joy over the weekend. There was a horrible tragedy. In case you didn’t watch the 70th annual Tony Awards, or the live stream of “behind the scenes” moments on our event page, there were several moving speeches that paid tribute to the Orlando victims. It reminds me why theatre is vital to our society: it has played an important role in bringing issues and perspectives to light, so that we can acknowledge controversial topics and find solutions to some of our most difficult problems.

I’m excited to subscribe to next year’s Subscription Series not just because it is a fabulous line-up, but mostly because I love the shared sense of uplifted community, hope and renewal that comes after experiencing quality live theatre. (Admittedly, the payment plan and heavily discounted student subscriptions help to make it possible as well.) If you would like to share this joyful experience with others throughout the year, you may want to consider applying what you would pay for Cinderella tickets to a subscription so that you can get better seats at better prices, especially for students! Plus, you’ll be able to add on additional tickets at a subscriber rate, exchange into another performance of the same show, attend exclusive subscriber events, and take advantage of membership benefits all year. Email or call the box office at 877.571.SHOW (7469) to find out how much you’ll save and discuss your options.

See you at the theatre,
