Love to ‘Hate’ Comedy legend Joan Rivers comes to Hanover Theatre

May 18, 2012

By Richard Duckett TELEGRAM & GAZETTE STAFF

You might think that an interview with someone whose next book includes in its title the declaration “I Hate Everyone” would be an intimidating and potentially a negative experience.

However, the full title of the book coming out next month is “Joan Rivers: I Hate Everyone ... Starting with Me,” an indication that Rivers’ longtime career of cutting humor also comes along with a complimentary and humorous self-deprecation. Further evidence that Rivers is not just some humorless curmudgeon in person can be found in the title for her lecture scheduled for Tuesday at The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts — “My Life in Show Business: 135 Years and Counting.”
