Bill Cosby is known as a great storyteller in comic routines that develop multiple characters and situations.
Here's a story about that.
Cosby, who returns to The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts (he was there in 2009) for a performance at 8 p.m. Friday, learned something while honing his comedy act earlier in his career. “People laugh, but may not repeat,” he said of show-goers. In fact, they may be more likely to see “a funny play, ‘Guys and Dolls,' ‘Peter Pan,' or something like that,” even if it is a touring show and not the Broadway original, rather than revisit a visiting comedian who had made them roar with laughter.
