How did you get into this line of work? How long have you been at The Hanover Theatre?
“When I was in college I knew I wanted to get into the music industry and also knew I had no talent in playing instruments. So I majored in business administration (at the University of Rhode Island) and figured out the business side to the music industry. My first full time salary job out of college was with Ticketmaster in the New England offices (Newton) and I really got into the ticketing side of the business. I didn’t like working for them as much and was more intrigued by the venue side of the business so I switched and had worked in six box offices across Boston over a span of eight years. I have been at The Hanover Theatre since it opened. I started on Jan. 2nd, 2008.”
What are your main responsibilities?
“I oversee all aspects of the box office from staffing needs, building shows and managing inventory, working with promoters, to running a VIP donor program.”
