Broadway Series promises high-quality entertainment

The 2010 - 2011 Broadway Series at The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts promises high-quality entertainment. “I’m really excited about the 2010-2011 Broadway Series. I think it’s the best range of shows we’ve gotten so far,” said Executive Director Troy Siebels.

This season of Broadway hits includes traditional favorites such as “Fiddler on the Roof,” “Grease,” “Mama Mia,” “Monty Python’s Spamalot” and the edgy newcomer “Avenue Q.” The Broadway Series features both classic productions and exciting new favorites that have been nominated for, or won, over 100 awards, including 62 Tony Award winners and nominations.

Building on the success of their first two seasons, they’ve added more performances and at more family-friendly prices. “There’s every reason for everyone to be a subscriber this year. We’ve even got half-price subscriptions for students and kids. We’re trying to make sure we do everything we can do to get families in here. We want to make our Broadway shows appeal to everyone,” Siebels said. Along with the halfprice subscriptions for students and kids, subscribers also receive advance access to premium seating, as well as free tickets for this summer’s production of “Always, Patsy Cline.” In addition, the theater also has a concierge program for visitors, and continues to enhance its Gourmet Program, off ering some of Worcester’s finest dining at discounted prices for members.

As if that’s not enough incentive, Broadway Series subscribers will also receive a 20 percent discount on The Hanover Theatre’s leadership donor group, The Franklin Square Society. Membership includes a host of VIP benefits, such as access to the Franklin Square Salon and complimentary beverage service, free convenient parking, tickets to special events during the year and more.

Tickets are on sale now as part of a five-show Broadway Series subscription package until after Labor Day. Subscribers may take advantage of a payment plan that allows them to enjoy subscription benefits for as little as three installments of $55. To order tickets, contact the box offic e Monda y through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. 877-571-SHOW (7469) or stop by 2 Southbridge St. Worcester. Tickets may also be ordered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at TheHanoverTh eatre.org.
