Neil Young to Visit the Hanover Theatre

April 8, 2010

by Boston Music Spotlight

Singer-songwriter and rock legend Neil Young recently revealed that his “Twisted Road” tour will pay a visit to Worcester’s Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts on Friday, May 21. Tickets, which range in price from $55 to $250, go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation and the venue's box office. Scottish folk icon Bert Jansch, founding member of the group Pentangle, will open the show.

Though Young has spent much of his career touring with other musicians and backing bands, the “Twisted Road” tour will be an opportunity to see the Canadian rock icon performing solo. The program will consist of a combination of many of his classic hits along with new, unrecorded songs.

In addition, the concert film Neil Young Trunk Show will be released on Blu-Ray and DVD by Reprise Records later this year. The film is the second in director Jonathan Demme’s planned trilogy about the legendary rocker. Demme also directed the 2006 Young documentary Heart of Gold.
