Educators Absorb Shen Yun in Worcester, MA

February 11, 2010

NTD News, Worcester, Massachusetts

Shen Yun Performing Arts' show at the Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts in Worcester, Massachusetts received enthusiastic applause from audience members.

[Bob Kett, High School Principal]:
“It was a wonderful show. I didn’t realize the amount of people that were in the show. And it was very, very entertaining.”

[Jack Mentges, College Administrator]:
“I think it’s incredible, watching the syncopation and all the coordination and the beautiful costumes and that... And it’s good for the enrichment of the cultural, of the Chinese culture.”

Many audience members took children to see traditional Chinese culture and classical Chinese dance.

[Julie Keeling, High School Teacher]:
“Two of the girls do Chinese dance and to see the adults do it, and so professionally, it’s really inspiring for them. But I think we all just enjoy this as a way to celebrate the Chinese New Year. It’s just wonderful.”

[Cathy Wall, Registered Nurse]:
“It’s great to see the culture of Asia and China. For her to see the perspective as well from transferring it from learning and education to seeing it in real life, and it’s really beautiful. And it’s just astounding.”

[Barbara Bremer, Usher at the Theatre]:
“I saw when they were talking about the spirits coming down. Those are like our angels. I could really connect with it. It was so beautiful, I loved it. I loved every minute of it. I think they are so great.”
